Rangers star Kemar Roofe blows Billy Dodds away
Rangers star Kemar Roofe impressed Billy Dodds in the game against St Mirren on Sunday.
The former Scottish international striker was working as a pundit for the BBC and was blown away by Roofe’s penalty in the first half.
With the Gers trailing 1-0, they were awarded a penalty, and the former Leeds United man stepped up to convert the spot-kick, which he did with ease.

Dodds said: “It’s a brilliant penalty because if it’s not struck that well, Jak Alnwick saves it.”
A big moment from Roofe.
The Gers were pretty hopeless for 40 minutes against the Saints after Connor Ronan had handed them the lead with a great strike.
However, Roofe kept his composure to bring his side level, and despite Jak Alnwick diving the right way, the forward found the net [Sky Sports, 12:57].
This was a pressure penalty, and it was fantastic to see Roofe find the net in what proved to be the game’s turning point as Alfredo Morelos then scored moments later to hand the Gers the lead.

It is no wonder Dodds was impressed with this moment from Roofe, and after this penalty, he was a threat throughout and linked up well with Morelos.
He couldn’t add to his tally, but he must know that was one of the main reasons why Steven Gerrard’s side went on to win the match to secure a very important three points.
