Rangers Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Rangers Insider Facebook page about Stephen Craigan’s comments on Kemar Roofe’s goal on Thursday.

Speaking on BT Sport, Craigan slammed the VAR referee for allowing Roofe’s goal to stand after it was initially ruled out.

This has drawn the attention of our Super Fans, who are raging.

Craigan fuming, but the right decision was made.

Ultimately, if Roofe had been clearly offside, then his goal would have been disallowed; however, he wasn’t, and the goal rightly stood [BT Sport highlights].

It proved to be a very important goal and handed the Gers a 2-0 lead that they held on to take a big step forward in the group.

Craigan really goes in on the officials here, but most of what he said was pretty unnecessary really. Certainly, calling the VAR official “incompetent” was a bit far.

There have certainly been worse decisions since the introduction of VAR, and we would much rather they were lenient to allow more goals.

Who really wants to see technology stopping goals when that is where the entertainment comes from.

Therefore, we can see why our Super Fans weren’t too happy with Craigan, and we do think that his reaction to Roofe’s goal was a bit over the top, although he eventually realised his mistake and corrected himself.
