Barry Ferguson: Conor Goldson could start Rangers exit talks in less than eight weeks
Barry Ferguson has insisted that Rangers defender Connor Goldson could sign an exit deal in eight weeks time.
The Bears enforcer has yet to pen a new deal at Ibrox despite being well into the final year of his contract with the club.
Ferguson is worried regarding the future of Goldson, who this week admitted that it isn’t just about the money.

Writing in his Daily Record column this morning, Ferguson insisted that he is started to get concerned regarding the matter.
“It was a big and important win for Rangers in terms of the Europa group and the clean sheet was secured with Connor Goldson showing his mind is right on the job, which, again, isn’t a surprise,” he said.
“I thought he was a man-mountain last season. He plays every game and when he is fit he is one of the first names on the team sheet.
“Is it a concern that we are well into October and in eight weeks time he could sign a pre-contract with another club? It is.”

Whatever it takes.
There is no getting away from this one, losing Goldson would be a disaster.
Steven Gerrard will know just how important every single player is in his squad, and there are none more so than the former Brighton man.
Looking at our defensive options, when Goldson isn’t there, things are a shambles at the back and we can’t afford to lose him.
Jack Simpson hasn’t proved himself one tiny little bit as of yet, and the likes of Leon Balogun and Filip Helander have consistent injury worries.
Winning another title guarantees Champions League football next season, and hopefully, that is a carrot that entices Goldson into sticking around.
Things may look greener south of the border in the Premier League with all the money, but Goldson will never find another club like the Bears, he must know that.
In other Rangers news, the Bears are set to seal a major signing with one player agreement almost certain in January
