Steven Gerrard: Questions about Rangers exit are silly
Steven Gerrard has brushed away any speculation linking him with a move away from Rangers in his interview after the win over Brondby on Thursday.
Gers registered their first victory in the Europa League this season after a comfortable 2-0 result against Brondby.
In his post-match interview after the game, a BT Sport presenter asked the Gers boss about the speculation surrounding his future.
She asked him, “You just touched on speculation on Joe Aribo, there’s been speculation around your own name, Steven. What would you say to those linking you with a move away?”
To which he responded, “Do I look happy? Do I look settled? Don’t ask me silly questions then.”
Clears it once and for all?
Whenever there’s a vacant job in the Premier League, Gerrard’s name gets thrown in the mix.
This shows that, unlike most Premier League legends who have turned to management recently, he’s one of the few who’s actually gone on to become a success.

A club like Newcastle, given their resources, will be looking for a top manager and it’s flattering to see that Gerrard’s name has been linked with the job.
That said, he’s kept denying a move away from the Ibrox and we believe that the only job that would tempt him is the Liverpool one.
Being a captain and one of the best ever players for them, he certainly would want to have a go at sitting on the Anfield hot seat.
However, that seems to be a few years down the line, given Jurgen Klopp’s success and popularity, so Gers fans do not need to worry about him leaving the club right now.
In other Rangers news, Barry Ferguson urges the club to do one thing if they want to keep winning trophies
