Stephen Craigan: Alfredo Morelos has lost dynamism for Rangers

Rangers welcomed Brondby to Ibrox this evening looking to kickstart their Europa League campaign this season.

Steven Gerrard named his strongest team available with Glen Kamara and Ryan Kent the only two to miss out.

Alfredo Morelos led the line and started the game looking for his 100th goal for the Bears in all competitions.

Stephen Craigan was not impressed with Morelos live on BT Sports and insisted that one thing needs to change in his game.

“I think he’s lost the dynamism in his game,” he said.

“He’s got to bring that back to his game this evening.”

Something wrong?

Morelos will always be a handful for opposition defenders, but when he isn’t scoring, what is it that he is doing?

Looking at the likes of Kemar Roofe, they are always running the channels, putting defenders under pressure and working hard – the same can’t always be said for Morelos.

That isn’t a dig, but the Colombian knows that all he wants to be doing is getting on the end of balls to him and smashing them into the back of the net.

Morelos has been vocal that a potential exit is on the horizon, and based on his current form, getting more than £10-£15million would be brilliant.

Any good striker will get out of their rut sooner rather than later, and we believe that will be the case for the Bufalo very soon.

Thankfully, Leon Balogun stepped up and gave us the perfect start this evening, now all eyes are back on Morelos.
