Rangers midfielder’s lawyer not happy with UEFA after Sparta Prague ruling

Glen Kamara’s lawyer, Aamer Anwar, has torn into UEFA after they decided that there was no evidence of wrongdoing from Sparta Prague against Rangers.

They decided that the case would be thrown out due to “insufficient evidence”, and the Czech side wouldn’t be punished for their fans appearing to racially abuse Kamara.

The 25-year-old was booed throughout the match, and Anwar claimed after the game that Sparta fans had targeted Kamara; however, UEFA don’t see it that way, and Anwar isn’t happy [Twitter].

Speaking to the Daily Record, He said: “It’s hardly surprising from a joke of a body that can’t even renew a contract with FARE for independent observers to monitor racism.

“I suspect that yet again this lack of action by UEFA will be a green light for more racist bile to spew forth, followed by politicians either demanding meetings with our ambassador or maybe some jokers might even want to ‘declare war’ and have me extradited.”

A brutal verdict from Anwar.

This is a brutal review of UEFA, but we agree with pretty much every word.

How you can say that there wasn’t enough evidence of racial abuse against Kamara is beyond us as it seemed very clear that he was targeted.

There was even a banner from one fan that showed their support for Ondrej Kudela after he was banned for racially abusing Kamara.

So, it seems pretty clear that the Gers man was targeted, and we can see why Anwar is so angry.

Sparta released a statement straight after the match defending their actions, and it seems as if they and their fans have got away with it, which is ridiculous in our opinion [Sparta Prague].

Clearly, UEFA has to do more to stamp out racism, but it seems that the clubs responsible will get away with it once again, which is a huge shame.
