Jim White blown away by Rangers fans after Brian Laudrup night

Jim White was left blown away on Friday evening after attending a Rangers fan event for Ibrox legend Brian Laudrup.

The Great Dane told stories of old and was a real crowd favourite at the event, with the likes of Graeme Souness, Sasa Papac and Nikica Jelavic to follow across the next year.

Many were left starstruck at the event, meeting one of their heroes who left a real legacy at Ibrox during his time at the club.

Writing on his personal Twitter account instantly after the event last night, White was clearly blown away by what he saw.

“What a night,” he wrote. “Fans out in force for An Evening With Rangers FC Legend Brian Laudrup.

“Massive turnout in Glasgow for the Great Dane.”

Magic.

There haven’t been many better than Laudrup to pull on that famous blue jersey in our huge history.

Having won the Champions League and the European Championship throughout his career, you would have forgiven him for putting those three Soctiths Premiership titles behind him – but nights like this prove he holds the club close to his heart.

Laudrup has publically admitted that leaving Ibrox for Chelsea was one of his biggest mistakes, after making over 150 appearances for the Bears.

There aren’t many more famous goals than the strike against Dundee United to clinch nine-in-a-row back in 1997 either.

Unfortunately, everything went down hill for Laudrup after leaving the Gers, and short moves to the likes of Chelsea, Copenhagen and Ajax were followed by his retirement in 2000.

What a night this was, you don’t get many chances to meet your heroes.
