Rangers Super Fans share verdict as Conor Goldson contract talks drag on

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Rangers Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Ibrox. You can join in the discussion on our Rangers Insider Facebook page.

Rangers are stuck in yet another contract dilemma this season, only weeks after solving Glen Kamara’s future.

The Finnish international put pen-to-paper on a new deal, but Conor Goldson is the latest star with question marks surrounding his future.

The Sun have now reported that talks now appear to have stalled and a move to the Premier League could be tempting.

Despite being sat top of the Scottish Premiership, we can all agree that this season hasn’t started as smoothly as we all would have wanted.

Our impenetrable defence from last season looks a shadow of its former self, and the dip in form of the likes of Goldson are behind that.

COVID-19 and injuries haven’t helped, and the Englishman has even already lost his phenomenal run of starting games at Ibrox.

With immediate Champions League group stage qualification up for grabs for the title winners, Steven Gerrard will not want to lose any of his star players in January or past that.

We asked our Ibrox Super Fans for their take on the ongoing situation and their response was as overwhelming as ever.

The majority were surprisingly open to seeing Goldson leave, with a January sale mooted to avoid losing him for nothing.

Here’s what they said below…
