Richard Gordon & Amy Irons predict scoreline of Rangers clash v Hibernian
Rangers will take on Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership clash at Ibrox on Sunday.
The Gers are top of the SPFL table with 16 points, while Hibernian are just a point and a place below them.
Ahead of the match, Sportsound host Richard Gordon has predicted a 1-1 draw. The Nine presenter, Amy Irons, has also gone for a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Rangers are heading into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Sparta Prague on Thursday in the Europa League.
Steven Gerrard’s side have struggled for consistency and have failed to meet the high standards they had set last season. The match promises to be a cracker.
Hibs, on the other hand, are undefeated in their last seven games in all competitions, winning four of them.
Jack Ross, the Hibs boss, has bemoaned the fact that there won’t be any away ticket allocation and feels that the Ibrox atmosphere will suffer as a result.
The Gers have not allocated away tickets for league games ever since the Covid-19 regulations were lifted.
Last season, Rangers won all of their 19 home games in the league as they won the title in a canter.
The Gers have already dropped points against Motherwell at home, and considering how inconsistent they’ve been overall, it’s highly possible that Hibernian can get a positive result at Ibrox.
Having said that, Rangers now have the belief to win matches even when they are not playing well.
Moreover, Gerrard will be looking for a reaction from his side after the Europa League defeat, which could motivate Rangers into delivering a quality display on the pitch.
