On-loan Rangers man Kai Kennedy is struggling
The Daily Record report that young Rangers winger Kai Kennedy is struggling on loan with Dunfermline Athletic.
The 19-year-old was the subject of transfer interest from West Ham in the last summer transfer window but moved on loan to Dunfermline instead, where he has struggled for game time [4th Official].
Out of the Scottish club’s ten games, he has only played six and appeared for just 339 minutes.
The report said: “The teenager is viewed as one of the brightest young prospects at Ibrox and showed his quality at Inverness and Raith in the Championship last season. He would get a loan shot at Dunfermline in the summer, but things haven’t worked out under Peter Grant so far. He hasn’t been a regular so far this term in the second tier, with the Pars rock bottom of the division.”
A shame for Kennedy.
This is a shame for one of the Gers’ brightest young talents.
He has been described as “fabulous” by Steven Gerrard in the past, and another loan move to the Scottish Championship looked like the best option for the winger [Daily Record].
However, things have not progressed that way, and it appears as if Kennedy is struggling to make an impression in a poor team.
Dunfermline are rock-bottom of the division and are really struggling.
So why isn’t Kennedy playing that much? Surely he could make a difference and perhaps drag the team up the league?
You would think that if the winger continues to struggle for game time, the Bears will activate their recall clause and bring him back to Ibrox and probably find another loan move for him [The Courier].
Hopefully, it doesn’t come to that, and Kennedy breaks his way back into the first team soon.
