Rangers star Ianis Hagi dismisses transfer speculation
Rangers star Ianis Hagi has claimed that he is not listening to any claims about his future and is focused on helping his club achieve its goals.
The 25-year-old is reportedly set for a move to Roma in the January transfer window, but it doesn’t seem as if the Romanian is paying too much attention to the noise [Sport].
Speaking ahead of the Gers’ game against Dundee FC, the 25-year-old clearly was not in the mood for transfer talk and sounds determined to help his side out [Sky Sports].
“I don’t think right now is the moment to talk about transfers. The transfer window just ended, so there is no point talking about transfers.
“I am just focusing on my game, on Rangers. There is an international break soon, so that’s where my head is.”
Strong stuff from Hagi.
Clearly, the Romanian has no intention of talking about transfers, and we think this is fair enough.
If the Gers are to repeat their performances from last season, then they need all of their players to be fully focused, and it seems as if Hagi is.
Like many Bears players, he is yet to hit the heights of last season, but in seven appearances, he has scored two goals and provided two assists, which isn’t the worst return in the world.
The Roma stuff appeared to come out of nowhere this week, and we think it is a good sign that Hagi isn’t commenting on it as it suggests he isn’t thinking about moving away from Ibrox.
There will come a point where the Gers will need to sell some of their players, and if a big bid came in for Hagi, then it would be interesting to see what would happen [Ross Wilson].
For now, though, he seems content, and we hope that he can return to his top form soon enough.
In other Rangers news, Chris Sutton has made a claim on one Gers starlet.
