Rangers Super Fans tear into Ryan Kent after the Lyon game

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Rangers Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Ibrox. You can join in the discussion on our Rangers Insider Facebook page.

Rangers Super Fans have flocked to a post on the Rangers Insider Facebook page about Ryan Kent.

The post asks if the 24-year-old was the Gers’ best player against Lyon, and it is clear that our Super Fans thought he was dreadful.

The former Liverpool man has struggled at times this season and was at fault for the opening goal as he gifted possession to the Ligue 1 side who punished Kent.

It is clear that our Super Fans were not happy with Kent’s display.

Was Kent that bad?

It wasn’t a great night for the Gers as they failed to really trouble Lyon on many occasions.

However, Kent did force the goalkeeper into one save in the first half, but it is clear that he didn’t do enough compared to many other Gers players [BBC].

The winger has been carrying an injury for the last few weeks and has been pushing himself through the pain barrier for his club, but it is clear that to our Super Fans, he hasn’t been doing enough [Heart & Hand].

Kent is now injured and will definitely miss the Motherwell match on Sunday, so our Super Fans will get their wish for at least a few more weeks [Rangers’ Twitter account].

Rangers haven’t really got going this season, and Kent is just one of many Gers stars who have been struggling to find their best.

However, he is a quality player, and hopefully, once he returns from injury, he can show his true ability.

In other Rangers news, Stephen Craigan has took aim at one Gers man after the defeat to Lyon.
