Rangers confirmed team news v Motherwell

Rangers could be without both Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos for their Scottish Premiership clash with Motherwell.

Steven Gerrard confirmed that the winger will be out after limping off in the 2-0 defeat against Lyon last night.

Morelos is also a doubt after complaining of a tight hamstring too, and that could add to a major blow.

Gerrard confirmed the team news via the official Bears Twitter account this morning ahead of the clash.

“Kent will be sent for a scan today, he will obviously be out for the weekend and could miss a few weeks but we will know more this evening,” he said.

“Morelos has a tight hamstring and is a doubt for the weekend but is not an issue on Kent’s level.”

This would be a huge blow.

Despite that, it would open a big door for those in the fringes of the squad to go out and prove themselves even further at Ibrox.

Scott Wright, Kemar Roofe and Juninho Bacuna will all be licking their lips to get a taste of the action yet again from the start.

We can’t remember the last time both Kent and Morelos were out, and both have huge influences on us in the final third.

Hopefully, that won’t affect us too badly and those coming in and can do a job and get us back on the horse after that big defeat against Lyon.
