Rangers ultras allegedly vandalise Lyon team bus

Rangers ultras have allegedly vandalised a team bus belonging to Lyon ahead of the Europa League clash on Thursday, according to the Scottish Sun.

The group of Gers supporters are claimed to have gone out of their way to cover the Ligue 1 side’s bus in graffiti as the tensions rise ahead of the opening Europa League group game.

The police were contacted about the incident early this morning, and the vandalism has been cleared off the bus now.

A minority of Gers fans spoil it for the rest.

It is all well and good, creating a hostile atmosphere for Lyon in Ibrox tonight and making the away side feel very uncomfortable.

However, for a group of fans to go out their way to vandalise a team bus is pretty pathetic, really, and it just makes all Gers fans look bad in the eyes of the public.

This is just an unprovoked act of vandalism that achieves nothing in the long run, and we hope those responsible are caught and rightly punished.

However, we hope that other Rangers fans channel their passion for their club in a different way and make Ibrox electric tonight.

The Champions League qualifying rounds were disappointing from the Gers’ point of view, but they should be more than fired up to play tonight.

Certainly, we anticipate a fantastic atmosphere and Lyon will have to play the Bears on the pitch and deal with their incredible support off it as well.

It should be quite the occasion.
