Steven Gerrard finishes isolation and shares Instagram update
Steven Gerrard is set to be back on the sidelines for Rangers when they square off against St. Johnstone this weekend.
Having missed out on the last two games due to a Covid-19 outbreak in the camp, he finished his isolation and took to Instagram to share his current status.
He shared a story on his public account and wrote; “Post Covid catch-up”.
This would certainly excite Rangers fans as it’s a different feel having their manager on the touchline and motivating the players.
While Gerrard would have been calling the shots in his absence as well, it’s an entirely new ball game with him on the pitch and reacting to every play.
He’s known to be a manager not afraid to throw the kitchen sink and make changes on the go – something that would have been lacking in these last two games.
Thankfully for Rangers, they did not miss his services too much, winning both games which were extremely crucial ones in the context of a rather topsy-turvy start to the season.
The Celtic win would’ve pleased the fans more, but it was also important to not take their feet off the pedal for Alashkert and ensure that they qualified for the Europa League.
With the Europa League starting next week as well, games will now be coming thick and fast, and Gerrard will need to test the depth in his side.
Having roped in a few quality players and ensured that no big names left the Ibrox this summer, he would be happy with his squad and now the onus on him is to deliver and ensure the club win the league and mount a serious push for the Europa League.
