Ryan Jack sends five-word message to Filip Helander after he made headlines this week

Rangers midfielder Ryan Jack congratulated Filip Helander on Instagram after Sweden beat Spain on Thursday night.

That scoreline resulted in Spain suffering their first World Cup qualifying defeat since 1993.

Helander put in one of his finest performances for his national side and staked a very good claim for being a regular in the first team.

He took to Instagram to post the picture with the caption of “TEAM” followed by two hearts.

It did not take long for his Rangers teammate Jack to congratulate him for his performance.

He wrote, “Well done the big Swede.”

What a player

Helander is undoubtedly having one of the weeks of his life.

He was the goal hero in Gers’ big Old Firm win against Celtic on Sunday and then played a key role in inflicting one of Sweden’s biggest qualifying wins in recent memory.

Helander formed a seamless partnership with Victor Lindelof and despite going down to an early Carlos Soler goal, they tightened up and were impenetrable for the rest of the game.

Gers fans will be hoping to see more of the same from him in the coming weeks as defensively the team hasn’t looked as solid as they would’ve liked.

However, Steven Gerrard has been working hard to tighten things up and we saw a stark improvement against Celtic on Sunday.

Once the international break finishes, Rangers face a tricky trip to St. Johnstone in the Scottish Premiership.
