Rangers will still look to sell key players in coming windows

Rangers will still look to sell key players in the coming windows despite not allowing any of them to leave during this summer, according to the Daily Record.

They claim that the Gers’ financial losses “will not be allowed to go on”, and it seems as if it is just a matter of time before Steven Gerrard is forced to sell some of his key men.

It is claimed that the money men at Ibrox are “desperate” to establish a similar transfer model to Celtic’s, which has seen the Bhoys rake in huge transfer fees.

Gerrard will have to sell some of his stars soon.

In truth, it seemed as if interest in several of the Gers’ stars failed to turn into anything serious.

There was an attempt by Everton to buy Nathan Patterson, but apart from that, there were very few actual offers made for the Gers’ stars.

However, it does seem as if, in the near future, Gerrard will be forced to sell the likes of Alfredo Morelos and Glen Kamara to keep the books balanced.

In the short term, though, this is great news for Gerrard and the Gers, and they probably feel as if they have enough in their squad to secure a second SPFL title in a row.

Celtic lost both Odsonne Edouard and Ryan Christie on deadline day, which you would think could seriously weaken them in the long run.

The Gers managed to avoid a similar scenario, but it might not be long before they have to part with some of their top players.

In other Rangers news, there is confusion surrounding Nikola Katic’s loan move.
