Rangers Super Fans react to Willy Caballero links

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Rangers Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Ibrox. You can join in the discussion on our Rangers Insider Facebook page.

Rangers have been linked with a shock late move for goalkeeper Willy Caballero during this window.

Nizaar Kinsella reported this week that the Bears are tacking the South American after he became a free-agent at the end of last season.

Caballero has been at Chelsea and Manchester City as his two most-recent clubs, bring home the Premier League and the Champions League.

There may be a goalkeeper crisis at Ibrox, but this would make little sense.

Allan McGregor and John McLaughlin have been forced out of action this week due to COVID-19, which may have sparked these links.

Robbie McCrorie stepped up perfectly, keeping clean sheets against both Alashkert and Celtic in two huge games for the club.

That being said, the two senior options should be back available for the next clash, especially now being in the international break.

We asked our esteemed panel on Super Fans over on Rangers Insider to react to the links, and their response was overwhelming.

The majority couldn’t understand why this supposed move had surfaced, as it simply made no sense.

Here’s what they said below…

Hopefully, this just turns out to be media talk with the need for a new goalkeeper simply nowhere near big enough to make this move.
