Rangers star Ryan Kent should have missed the Old Firm

Rangers star Ryan Kent should have missed the Old Firm and was supposed to be ruled out until after the international break, but he pushed through the pain barrier to play for his club.

The Heart & Hand podcast report on their Twitter account that the former Liverpool man really shouldn’t have been playing against Celtic though they don’t say what injury Kent has.

However, if this is true, then the winger deserves great credit for pushing through and contributing to his team and their win over Celtic.

Great attitude from Kent.

Given that Kent could and possibly should have missed the match at Ibrox with an as-yet-unspecified injury, it indicates Kent’s character that he was happy to play in such an intense match.

His decision could have backfired, but he turned in a solid performance and helped the Gers move three points clear of Celtic [the Daily Record].

We hope that playing in this match doesn’t aggravate the injury, and he is ready to contribute when the international break ends.

Kent hasn’t actually started the season that well with no goals and two assists in seven games in all competitions; however, this latest claim, if true, proves that his attitude is spot on.

Ultimately, that is all you can ask for, really as it proves his total commitment to the cause.

In other Rangers news, Kris Boyd believes one Gers star has played his last game for the club.
