Glen Kamara to wait till end of window before committing future to Rangers
Glen Kamara will wait till the end of the summer transfer window before singing a new Rangers deal, according to GIVEMESPORT.
The Finland international midfielder wants to see whether any club will come forward for his signature between now and the end of the month before making a decision on his Ibrox future.
Aston Villa, who’ve spent a lot of money already this summer, are the latest Premier League to have registered an interest in recruiting Kamara, 25, but it is unknown whether they will be coming forward with a firm offer in the coming days.
As GIVEMESPORT earlier reported, Leeds United, Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United have all been linked with the Light Blues ace, but nothing has materialised from those interests.
Rangers have an extension offer on the table for Kamara, but he is taking his time before putting pen to paper.
Things change quickly in the last week of the transfer windows, and the Scottish Premiership are now facing a nervous wait.
Manager Steven Gerrard wants to hold on to such a key player for at least one more season, but a juicy bid from a Premier League club before the end of the month could change all of that.
Clearly, Kamara wants to return to the English top-flight someday, and it is understandable if he has doubts over extending his Ibrox deal beyond 2023.
Rangers cannot afford to lose him right now, though, as a replacement could be hard to land, and they need to start preparing for his eventual departure and get in someone capable of filling his shoes.
