Rangers star Alfredo Morelos included in WhoScored's SPFL Team of the Week

Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has been included in WhoScored’s SPFL Team of the Week after his display against Ross County.

The 25-year-old scored his first league goal of the season in the Gers’ 4-2 win on Sunday, and he also provided an assist for Joe Aribo, and that was enough to see him make WhoScored’s Team of the Week [Sky Sports].

This resulted in Morelos being awarded an 8.56 rating from WhoScored, which made him the fifth-highest rated player in the team.

Totally deserved for Morelos.

Considering the Colombian didn’t arrive in Glasgow until late last month and played no part in pre-season, he has already turned in some strong displays for the Gers.

In five games, this season in all competitions, Morelos has scored three goals and provided one assist, and it is no surprise to see that he was included in WhoScored’s Team of the Week.

The 25-year-old bullied the Ross County defence and earned a 7/10 rating from the Rangers Review for his performance.

Morelos has been a superb striker for Steven Gerrard and it is no wonder that the Gers boss has described him as “fantastic” in the past, and he was clearly in good form on Sunday [Rangers’ official website].

Therefore, it was no surprise to see him in WhoScored’s Team of the Week, and we expect to see him feature in this team a lot more as the season progresses, as he keeps gaining more match fitness.

In other Rangers news, the Gers’ value for Nathan Patterson is revealed.
