Rangers back in for Huddersfield Town attacker Juninho Bacuna

Huddersfield Town attacking midfielder Juninho Bacuna has emerged as a transfer target for Rangers, according to The Scottish Sun.

The 24-year-old Dutch-born Curacao international has impressed Light Blues recruitment chiefs who have compiled a dossier of scouting reports on him, with the club now “seriously considering” a move.

Rangers are long-term admirers of Bacuna having monitored him for a year, and sporting director Ross Wilson has now pinpointed the Huddersfield star as a possibility.

Rangers

Needed addition

The Bears have not made a lot of signings this summer, but we really could do with more quality in attack to boost our chances of retaining the Premiership title and impressing in Europe after the Champions League heartbreak.

The former Netherlands youth international has 11 goals and nine assists over the course of the last two English Championship campaigns, and that speaks of his quality.

We have had to deal with suspensions, injuries and almost every type of absences when making attacking selections for some of our games this season, and more quality depth is required.

Rangers

Bacuna has just a year left on his deal with the English outfit after they took up an option to extend his contract at the end of last season, and they could be open to a sale as opposed to losing him for nothing next summer.

Failure to secure Champions League football might have dealt a blow on our finances, but Rangers should still be able to sign a player who is likely to be available for a bargain.
