Tam McManus: Hibernian should sign Nikola Katic this month
Tam McManus has tipped Hibernian to make a move for Rangers defender Nikola Katic this month after his return from injury problems.
The Croatian has been strongly linked with an Ibrox exit in the next two weeks, with a loan switch also mooted [Daily Record].
McManus believes that many clubs in the same division would be eager to make the move, depending on the Bears’ availability.

Speaking to PLZ Soccer on Monday, McManus tipped his former club to make a move for the Croatian enforcer.
“There’s a lot of rumours he’s going to go out on loan somewhere,” he said.
“I think he’s too good a player to be sitting in the stands, he’s come back from a serious injury, he needs to get out and play somewhere.
“There will be teams in the Scottish Premier League that would take him, Hibs are looking for centre-halves – Katic, someone like that.”

Perfect.
We can’t think of a better move off the top of our heads.
Katic would be thrown into the rough and tumble of Scottish football, and for a team fighting for Europe rather than sitting in mid-table for a full season.
The Croatian wouldn’t need to play against the Bears through the season, and would hopefully, return to his very best.
Conor Goldson, Filip Helander, Leon Balogun and Jack Simpson hand us more than enough options this year to sanction this exit.
It is up to Katic to go out and prove he is better than any four of them across the next year, and we can’t wait to see it.
