Rangers target Joey Veerman’s stock continues to rise

Rangers target Joey Veerman’s stock may have risen after he made the Eredivisie Team of the Week.

According to The Daily Record, the 22-year-old’s future is up in the air amid interest from a number of clubs.

Feyenoord have managed to hold on to him and have already turned down an offer from Hellas Verona.

Despite the growing interest in his services, we must do everything we can to sign him this summer

Steven Gerrard is a huge fan of the player, and per the report, the Dutchman is understood to be his top target this summer.

After a tumultuous start to the season, Gerrard will be hoping to sign a player who’s been on his radar for a while.

Even if his price has increased, there’s a chance that few players may be sold after our Champions League exit, and some of that money could be put back into the squad.

Feyenoord know what a talent they’ve got on their hands and are unlikely to let him go on the cheap so it’s not going to be easy signing him.

What would help us if he hands in a transfer request and looks to force his way out of the club.

Our midfield lacks fluidity and it could do with a player of Veerman’s calibre to complement the likes of Glen Kamara and John Lundstram.

He’s the kind of player who would get our season back on track and it remains to be seen what happens in the next two weeks.
