According to 90min, Rangers bosses have told manager Steven Gerrard he does not have to sell any players this summer following their Champions League elimination.

While the Ibrox outfit are bracing themselves for interest and possible bids for some of their best players, they are not going to be forced to sell.

Rangers have missed out on an extra £30million as a result of their failure to progress to the group stages of the competition, and some sales were expected.

However, the latest report comes as a huge boost.

We asked our esteemed panel of Rangers Super Fans over on Facebook what they think of the news, and while the majority of them were excited, we got some interesting responses.

True?

That is the question everyone wants an answer to.

Can we really keep hold of the likes of Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Ianis Hagi and Glen Kamara?

Rangers need to balance the books, make one or two additions and keep the club running effectively, and qualifying for the Champions League would have made all of that possible.

With 16 days left in the summer transfer window, a lot could still happen, and it will be interesting to see how things play out.

Gerrard definitely wants to hold on to his key players, and doing that will come as a massive boost in our bid to retain the Premiership title and challenge strongly across other competitions.

The Rangers boss has admitted selling players cannot be ruled out, but keeping them is surely what he wants.

We are not forgetting that we are a selling club, but suitors must meet our demands to have any chance of getting their hands on any of our players this summer.

The Light Blues are yet to receive a juicy bid from the look of things, and what will happen if they do is unknown.
