Alfredo Morelos fails to read the room as he uploads Rangers goal v Malmo
There’s no ‘I’ in team but someone ought to tell Alfredo Morelos that with the Rangers star seemingly boasting about his goal against Malmo despite suffering a humiliating defeat to the Swedish side at Ibrox this week.
Morelos, 25, grabbed his first goal of the season against Malmo on Tuesday night when he bundled in a cross at the back post.
That goal put the Gers level on aggregate with Malmo before the away side were reduced to 10 men and went on to win the tie 2-1 and knock the Scottish champions out of the Champions League.

It’s a third consecutive defeat for the Light Blues and the exit from the Champions League has led to a lot of speculation about players’ futures due to the financial impact of dropping into the Europa League.
Morelos is one of those players linked with an exit from Ibrox (when hasn’t he been linked with a move away?) but he hasn’t done much to endear himself towards supporters with his social media activity since the loss to Malmo.
On Thursday night, the Colombia international took to Twitter to share a clip of his goal against the Swedish giants.
Fine, you scored a goal and are proud of it.
But El Bufalo has really failed to read the room on this one.
You can see in the replies to Morelos’ post that some fans aren’t happy with the Colombian’s decision to upload that ill-timed video clip.
One asked the striker if he’s trying to get a move away from Ibrox with that video while another asked: “You do realise we lost?”
It’s been a humiliating week for the Scottish champions and Scottish football as a whole with Rangers’ failure in Europe’s top club competition.
We’re back in the Europa League and the money missed out on could have major implications on the squad.

Portuguese news outlet A Bola have regularly reported on Porto’s interest in Morelos and they now report that the striker’s price-tag will have decreased as a result of the defeat to Malmo.
It may well have too and, more worryingly, it could leave to a number of players wanting to leave because they had hoped to be playing in the Champions League group stages this season – not in the Europa League again.
In other Rangers news, six changes are predicted for the clash against Dunfermline on Friday night.
