Rangers Super Fans have flocked to a post on Rangers Insider’s Facebook page about one Gers fan and Steven Gerrard.

The fan in question phoned talkSPORT after Rangers lost to Malmo in the Champions League and called for Gerrard to be sacked after a poor start to the season.

Ally McCoist then described this suggestion as “nonsense”, and it appears as if many other Gers fans think exactly the same as the former Rangers striker [talkSPORT Breakfast 11/08/2021].

Sacking Gerrard would be ridiculous!

If the Gers were to listen to this fan and sack the former Liverpool star, it would probably be one of the most ridiculous decisions in football in recent years.

Last season Gerrard’s side were unbeaten in the league and won the SPFL title by a staggering 25 points.

Yes, they have had a poor start to the season in both the league and the Champions League, but there is so much time for them to turn everything around.

Rangers

This was a poor evening for Gerrard and his players, but that doesn’t mean he deserves to be sacked, and it is clear that our Super Fans are fully behind their manager.

Ultimately, the 41-year-old will learn from the mistakes that he has made so far and get better, and we would be very surprised if Rangers don’t recover from this start they have made.
