Steven Gerrard confirms Rangers team news v Malmo

Steven Gerrard has confirmed his Rangers team news for the Champions League clash against Malmo tomorrow night.

The Bears go into the second leg at Ibrox 2-1 behind but will be roared on by a 50,000-plus attendance in Glasgow.

Gerrard has confirmed a major boost, with Ianis Hagi, Leon Balogun and Fashion Sakala all fit and ready to return.

As shared on the official club Twitter account, Gerrard shared his latest team news with only Ryan Jack and Nikola Katic missing.

“We were pretty limited last week but more positive now,” he said.

“Hagi returns to the squad, Balogun is fit and available, Sakala is fit and will be involved in the squad as is Alfredo. A real positive update.

“Only Katic, Jack and the suspensions missing.”

Huge.

Hagi is the main boost.

The Romanian has started the season on fire and will be looking to pick up where he left off after being forced off injured against Livingston.

Balogun is also one of those who could come straight back into the side, as he was only missing from the first-leg through suspension.

There has been silence surrounding Sakala, but the return of Alfredo Morelos kept his absence against Dundee United underwraps.

Gerrard will be hoping for a huge response from his side after the nightmare week that has just gone by.

Two defeats were simply not good enough and having a squad that is very close to full strength will only help that.
