Patson Daka sends message to Fashion Sakala ahead of Rangers v Malmo
Rangers host Malmo on Tuesday in the second-leg of the Champions League third qualifying round, and Fashion Sakala cannot wait to lead the side to victory.
The Zambian striker missed Saturday’s Premiership defeat to Dundee United due to a knock but is available for selection for the crucial clash against the Swedes.
Sakala took to his personal Instagram account to post: “FOREVER READY, Ready for the battle. We are stronger with your support. We need you from the beginning at IBROX. FS10 DREAMS DON’T DIE.”
His international teammate and Leicester City striker Patson Daka, who joined the Foxes for £22million earlier this summer [BBC], has sent a message of inspiration to the Light Blues forward, urging him on ahead of the game.
Daka wrote: “Best wishes bro, it’s possible.”
Tough match ahead
Malmo secured a 2-1 victory in the first-leg last week and will be full of confidence ahead of their trip to Ibrox.
With the chance to play in the group stages of the Champions League on the line, Sakala is raring to go, and we expect manager Steven Gerrard to hand him some playing minutes.
While he did not particularly impress during the game in Sweden, the Zambian is capable of changing a game on his day like he did in the friendly against Real Madrid.
Ibrox is set to have a full capacity against Malmo, and that is a massive boost.
We could not have asked for anything more in terms of having an electric atmosphere for such an important match, and the fans cannot wait to cheer the boys to victory.
Playing alongside the European bigwigs in the Champions League this season will be huge in so many ways for Rangers, and the glamour and financial boost that come with it should definitely inspire the players and fans alike.
