Confirmed Rangers starting XI v Dundee United

Rangers have confirmed their starting XI for their Scottish Premiership clash against Dundee United on Saturday.

Steven Gerrard has made four changes after the Champions League defeat at Malmo in midweek for the trip to Tannadice.

Confirmed on Twitter prior to kick-off, the Bears have welcomed back Alfreod Morelos from his quarantine period.

The big talking point is Morelos.

We have finally welcomed back El Bufalo after his quarantine period after the COPA America with Colombia.

Even with only two days training behind him, there is always confidence in his fitness and determination after he was spotted running around car parks all week.

We are certain that Morelos will have a big role to play this afternoon, whenever his name is involved, it just happens.

Foot down.

Given that we are the early kick-off this afternoon once again, we already have the chance to open up a six-point gap on Celtic.

That sounds brilliant already, but it would be naive to predict that they could be our closest challengers this season given their nightmare year.

Gerrard will be wary of the challenge ahead at Tannadice though, with it being one of our hardest fixtures last season.

If it wasn’t for a James Tavernier worldie, we may have only left with one point after conceding one of our few goals there.

Even the home game towards the end of the season was tough despite the big result, and we conceded far too many chances in that one.

We can’t let that happen again.
