After suffering a mid-week disappointment in Europe, Rangers will be looking to bounce back with a win against Dundee United.

Attacker Kemar Roofe, who missed the trip to Malmo, is back in contention to start on the weekend.

While Steven Gerrard will want the three points, he’s likely to have one eye on the second leg against Malmo next Tuesday.

But with Roofe suspended for that clash again, Rangers fans have urged the manager to start him on the weekend.

When asked whether they wanted Roofe to be in the playing XI on Saturday, they unanimously responded in the affirmative.

Here’s what they said:

Hard to disagree

Roofe did not start our opener against Livingston, but came off the bench and got his name on the scoresheet.

He’s extremely effective as an impact sub and also offers us something else in the final third whenever he’s on the pitch.

The 28-year-old can play in all three attacking positions and his movement can leave defenders for dead as they’re unsure whether to stick with him or defend their space and allow him to have the ball at his feet.

It’s not like we’re not confident in the rest of the team, but starting Roofe is something Gerrard must do.

He hit double figures last season despite suffering an injury during the second half of the season and he’ll be looking to breach the 20-goal mark this time around.
