Josh Windass regrets leaving Rangers in 2018
Sheffield Wednesday attacker Josh Windass admits he regrets leaving Rangers in 2018.
Windass, 27, joined the Gers from Accrington Stanley in 2016 and helped the club get back on it’s feet in the Scottish Premiership.
However, after two seasons, Windass left Glasgow having made 73 appearances in all competitions for the Light Blues, scoring 19 goals in the process.

In an Instagram Q&A, Windass was asked about his biggest regret about Rangers and the attacking midfielder simply replied: “Leaving.”
Windass was also asked to name the player that “shocked” him with how good they were. He replied naming Ryan Jack.
The Athletic journalist Jordan Campell relayed the Q&A answers via his personal Twitter account on Sunday.
We wouldn’t have him back
Windass had his moments here in Glasgow but ultimately, he’s someone who we look back on and are reminded of Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha.
While we’re always thankful for Warburton taking us back to the Premiership, the way we performed in the top-flight under him and the acrimonious circumstances of his exit will remain in our memory, unfortunately.
As for Caixinha, we still shudder at the thought of him.
Windass is someone who unfortunately represents that period but he did have a good 2017/18 season with us.
He scored a lot of goals in that campaign, including one against Celtic.
He may regret leaving us but we don’t regret seeing him go.
Since leaving Ibrox, Windass has played for Wigan and Sheffield Wednesday, who were relegated to England’s League One last season.
He’s just not comparable to our players anymore.
We wish Josh all the best at Hillsborough and we do like him and have some fond memories of him.
But we’ve moved on now and so should he.
