Rangers Super Fans react as Jordan Jones spotted at Wembley

This is part of a regular series from our panel of Rangers Super Fans. Each week, our Super Fans will deliver their verdicts on the biggest talking points and news stories around Ibrox. You can join in the discussion on our Rangers Insider Facebook page.

Rangers winger Jordan Jones was spotted at Wembley on Sunday as England crashed to defeat against Italy.

The Northern Ireland international has featured in the opening two pre-season friendlies, as he looks to rebuild his career at Ibrox.

Steven Gerrard shipped Jones out on loan last season after he was caught breaking COVID-19 protocols with George Edmundson.

It will be interesting to see how the club reacts to this.

Rangers, Gerrard or the club could have given permission for Jones to go to Wembley during pre-season, but hopefully, it doesn’t backfire.

Should the winger test positive for COVID-19 after this, it would be a huge controversy and there will be comments coming left, right and centre.

There were unhealthy scenes around Wembley before, during and after the game, with fans charging past security to get into the ground.

That will have left some untested fans in-and-around the stadium, something we hope didn’t affect the likes of Jones.

We asked our esteemed panel of Super Fans over on the Rangers Insider page whether this was a mistake.

There were some contrasting responses, with some insisting that he is finished at Ibrox, where some believe there was nothing wrong with the action.

Sooner rather than later, there will be an update from club or player, and hopefully, it sheds some light on the situation.
