Joey Veerman left furious with Heerenveen pricetag

Heerenveen midfielder Joey Veerman has been left fuming with his price tag amid strong links to Rangers this summer.

The Bears have already confirmed the signing of John Lundstram this week, with midfield an area they have looked to strengthen.

It is uncertain whether Steven Gerrard would want another midfield option during the window, but he may need to act quick.

Leeuwarder Courant has shared the latest update on their website, and it appears as though Veerman is unhappy with his demanded price.

The Daily Record shared the update and added that the player was “furious” and that his preferred is to Italy.

It is reported that the Dutch club are only asking for £4.3million, which isn’t exactly a huge price in this current climate.

With the COVID-19 pandemic hitting football harder than most, many clubs will be lowering their values this summer.

Furious.

It doesn’t seem like a huge price tag, so Veerman appears to be just trying to force his way out, no matter what happens.

The Scottish Sun reported at the start of May that the playmaker could cost up to £8.5million, so the price is dropping quickly.

The 22-year-old scored seven goals and added an impressive 10 assists in his 31 appearances last season, and would add some great talent at Ibrox.

Lundstrum is a big-name singing, and we don’t expect the midfield to be an area we target unless the likes of Glen Kamara end up leaving Glasgow.

Veerman may be trying to force his move away from Heerenveen, but as things stand, it looks as though Scotland may not be his next destination.
