Oli McBurnie reacts as Rangers confirm John Lundstram signing
Rangers announced the signing of John Lundstram on Monday afternoon after he left Sheffield United.
The Bears completed the deal on a free transfer, and the midfielder put pen-to-paper on a three-year contract.
There has been reaction flooding in all afternoon, with the initial response more than positive at Ibrox.
Oli McBurnie is a known Rangers fan and has been linked numerous times with a move to Glasgow during his career.
The striker was also a teammate of Lundstram at Bramall Lane and has given a glowing reaction on his personal Twitter account.
“Things you love to see,” he wrote.
“What a man, what a player and what a signing.”
McBurnie is Rangers mad, and he is likely to be buzzing with whichever signing is delivered in Glasgow.
Lundstram has had a successful couple of years in the Premier League and will be looking to bring that experience to Ibrox.
The Daily Mail has also linked the Scotland international with a £15million move to the club he supports, but that one looks unlikely.
With the friendly against Partick Thistle this evening coming too early, we will likely get our first taste of the action from our new midfield in our next game.
Lundstram can then go out and prove that he is as good as McBurnie suggests, not that we have any worries over that.
Steven Gerrard shared the same delight, and we can’t wait to see how the gaffer transforms his game moving forward, we’re expecting goals.
