Rangers star Ryan Kent injured after missing pre-season pictures

Rangers star Ryan Kent is currently stuck in the Auchenhowie gym trying to shake off an injury at the start of pre-season.

The Bears have posted plenty of pictures on social media of the squad, but the winger was notably absent from every single one of those.

It led to fans questioning whether he had been sold, but the Scottish Sun eased those fears over the weekend.

It has been reported that Kent is completing his recovery, but it clearly doesn’t allow him to feature on the training pitch.

Rangers aren’t said to be worried about the blow, meaning that he should hopefully be back out on the grass as soon as possible.

This will ease worries immensely, with Kent one of our most sought-after players in recent years during this newfound success.

Steven Gerrard will be running the rule over his squad over the next couple of weeks, with those returning from the EUROs set to join the group soon.

Timely.

With Champions League qualifiers before the Scottish Premiership, it won’t be a long pre-season that we’re usually expecting.

This is the update we were all hoping for, and although an injury isn’t the best news, it is much better than him being away from the club negotiating a potential exit.

Once the likes of Filip Helander, Glen Kamara and Nathan Patterson return, we should hopefully be well on our way to clean bill of health.

It will be critical next season, with even more pressure to perform well after the incredible campaign just gone.

There is a big target on our backs, and the only way to avoid that is by having our best players available, and one of those is certainly Kent.
