Portuguese media: Morelos sends subliminal message over Rangers future

A Bola claims an Instagram post by Alfredo Morelos this week is a ‘subliminal’ message about his future at Rangers.

Morelos, 25, has been strongly linked with a move to Porto in recent weeks. A Bola has recently reported the Portuguese giants are lining up a bid for the Colombian forward.

Earlier this week, Morelos uploaded a clip on his personal Instagram account that showed a number of his goals he’s scored in his time at Ibrox.

A Bola says that’s an indication that he wants to quit the Scottish champions.

“The player no longer hides his desire to move to the blues and whites (Porto) and the video he posted on social media, with the goals he has scored for Rangers since he was signed from HJK Helsinki, in 2017, signal, albeit subliminally, the intention to change the air after four seasons in the Scots,” says the report.

Utter rubbish

Can a player not share a clip of the goals he’s scored for a club without it ‘signalling his intent he wants to leave’?

That’s basically what A Bola are saying and we don’t buy it.

If Morelos wanted to leave, he’d have made it clear. He’s done so in the past.

However, if he does want to leave and he’s keeping it away from the public then we can kind of understand why.

We’ve won the title this year for the 55th time. Celtic are an absolute mess, we’ve got a brilliant squad of players, a top manager and a Champions League qualification campaign to look forward to.

Is there any bad news circling around at Ibrox right now other than the odd bit of transfer speculation? No, there isn’t.

We don’t want to see players saying they want to leave, we want to see committed players who are ready to help us reach the Champions League group stages.

If Morelos comes out and says something, it’ll wreck the harmony.

He loves Rangers. He doesn’t want to do that, surely.

In other Rangers news, fans want to see this attacking player sold before the season starts.
