Ianis Hagi not ready to leave Rangers amid Galatasaray speculation

Rangers playmaker Ianis Hagi has shown no signs of wanting to leave Ibrox to join Galatasaray in the summer, according to The Scotsman.

The Romanian international has made it no secret that he would love to follow in his fathers’ footsteps by eventually moving to the Turkish club.

It is suggested that Steven Gerrard highly rates the young midfielder, who has impressed strongly in the Scottish Premiership this season.

There have been strong reports linking Hagi with an exit to numerous clubs.

Galatasaray aren’t the only suitors, with Lazio and Sevilla also being credited with an interest already before the window opens.

Yenisafak have reported this week that the Turkish club are ready to make Hagi’s eventual dream a reality over this summer.

It is suggested that they are ready to hand the playmaker the number 10 shirt as they look to secure the major transfer.

Sticking around.

It may be a dream, but if Hagi wants to play at the top level, he has to stay at Ibrox.

Galatasaray don’t dominate Turkey as they have done in the past, and the Bears are crushing their competition, and are now in the Champions League.

We all remember what happened when the two teams met at the start of last season, with the Gers sweeping the Turkish team aside to reach the Europa League.

Hagi may have been on and off the bench in nearly every single game in the past year, but his numbers were phenomenal as he was involved in 15 league goals; only James Tavernier managed more.

We don’t expect any movement this summer, although it does appear likely that it will happen at some point in the future.
