Chris Sutton hits back at Rangers fans on Celtic saga, predicts another Bears title win
Chris Sutton has hit back at Rangers fans who are currently laughing at Celtic’s approach to make Ange Postecoglou their new manager.
After months of pursuing Eddie Howe, that brilliantly collapsed and left them in advanced talks with a manager that was previously rejected at Ibrox.
Comparisons have already been made to Pedro Caixinha, leaving Sutton admitting that Rangers are already on their way to another Scottish Premiership title next season.
Writing in his Daily Record column, Sutton hit back at Rangers fans who have already taken aim at the circus that is Parkhead right now.
“Rangers supporters are having a right laugh about the situation and they are already writing off Ange Postecoglou as an Aussie Pedro Caixinha,” he wrote. “I don’t think that’s fair.
“Rangers have come from miles behind to sit streets ahead. They have everything Celtic don’t right now – a settled management team and squad.
“They have also got the Premiership title and you simply can’t see Celtic wrestling it back at this stage unless Postecoglou pulls off a miracle next season.”
We can’t believe our eyes.
After years of thinking his dear Celtic were untouchable, within one poor season, that has changed to needing a miracle to win the title yet again.
This is a club that won nine titles-in-a-row, isn’t it? We haven’t heard that saying in months since we made sure it wasn’t 10.
Steven Gerrard finally put together a squad that was capable of challenging after his three years at the club, and at the first chance, he did more than that.
This will have killed Sutton to write this and publish it for everyone to see, but he is finally coming to his senses that Celtic have simply collapsed under the pressure.
Anyone for another title?
