Celtic aim sly dig at Rangers in embarrassing Twitter post

Celtic have done it, they have finally posted the most embarrassing thing a football club has ever posted on Twitter.

The Premiership runners-up have actually posted a tweet that’s urging their fans to renew their season tickets while also acknowledging that a new manager had hoped to have been appointed by now.

They then signed off the tweet with a sly dig at champions Rangers by adding a hashtag that says: “One club since 1888.”

It’s fairly obvious that final hashtag is a dig at Rangers because it was used in March to say that they’re not half of the Old Firm, referencing the myth that Rangers are not the same club they used to be.

As 55-times title-winners, it’s been absolute bliss seeing the Celtic Park ship capsize and sink dramatically this season.

We’ve seen their bid for 10-in-a-row fold spectacularly, two cup campaigns fail, European humiliation, a controversial holiday to Dubai in the middle of a pandemic, mass protests outside of Celtic Park and the sacking of Neil Lennon.

They’re yet to replace Lennon with there seemingly a lot of umming and ahhing over who’s going to be the next manager.

It’s now reached a point where they’re begging their supposedly loyal fans to pump money into the club despite not knowing who’ll be in the dugout next season.

And then, despite all of that, they still have the cheek to peddle their myths about us and to post their cryptic digs at the team that absolutely embarrassed them this season.

You’ve got to laugh, you really do.

In other Rangers news, this club has been gushing over a player who’s on loan there from the Gers.
