Alex McLeish: Moussa Dembele message proves Rangers have rattled Celtic

We’re delighted to welcome former Rangers manager Alex McLeish as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…

Alex McLeish has insisted that Celtic old and new are still rattled by Rangers’ success over the past year at Ibrox.

After the Bears finished invincible last season, Moussa Dembele has since come out claiming there are only one real unbeaten side.

It was an embarrassing message to send, especially after the French striker had just won the La Liga title with Atletico Madrid.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, McLeish said, “They are worldwide famous.

“The Rangers-Celtic factor will always come into the conversation at some point, they are very powerful clubs.

“Well done, Dembele, but you can see they still want to get their little bit in there.”

Embarrassing.

Don’t mind us, we are just revelling in our success.

It has taken us nine years to get to this stage, and that included a complete rebuild of the club and jumping up numerous divisions before getting back to the top.

Celtic have had no serious competition in that time, and the first year they have been given a serious challenge, they crumbled.

Dembele has been sitting on the bench in Spain and has barely made a difference to their title-winning season, which is why he is likely clinging on to his old success.

In an attempt to embarrass the Bears, we are simply sat back laughing as the green side of Glasgow hide their tears and continue to be rattled consistently.
