Rangers fans forced Sky Sports evacuation at Ibrox during title celebrations

Rangers fans forced Sky Sports to evacuate their studios during the wild title celebrations at Ibrox this afternoon.

Eilidh Barbour shared the update live on air after the likes of Kris Boyd and Ally McCoist were undergoing their duties in the stands.

The Bears fans scaled the walls and famous blue gates in Glasgow after the crushing 4-0 victory over Aberdeen on the final day.

Barbour shared the major update during live coverage of the game on Sky Sports, as shared by the Sun on Saturday evening.

“We’ve had to move from our studio due to a bit of a safety breach at the stadium here,” she said.

“Fans outside are starting to come up on the wall so we have moved. But I do still have Kris Boyd and Ally McCoist with me. I am not letting them get out here and enjoy the party which is going on out there on the pitch.”

This is a slight over-exaggeration from Sky Sports.

With the way they scaled into the stands, you would have thought there were scenes similar to the ones at Old Trafford last week as their fans were on the pitch and forced the clash against Liverpool to be postponed.

There were always going to be fans gathering outside Ibrox and around Glasgow today, and there has been little trouble as they celebrate number 55.

Sky Sports actually got better footage with the players, Steven Gerrard and the likes of McCoist as they managed to make the situation work.

There is nothing to see here, and rather than jumping to the worst conclusions, we can move forward after this brilliant day filled with thrills.

55 is home, here’s looking to 56 next season.
