Ian Crocker raves about Joe Aribo during Aberdeen game
Sky Sports commentator Ian Crocker has lauded Joe Aribo for his versatility during the Rangers vs Aberdeen game.
Rangers ended the campaign on a high, winning the game against Aberdeen, and ending the campaign as Invincibles.
With this result, Gers, for the first time in their 149 year history, finished the league season with 100 points – something Steven Gerrard deserves immense credit for.
The former Liverpool midfielder has instilled a spirit of togetherness in this side and one can see just how well the players have responded to his man management.
One player who’s enjoyed a good season playing in a number of positions is Aribo, and Crocker made a special mention about how important he’s been to this Gers side.
He said on Sky Sports Main Event, “Aribo is one there are no complaints about. He’s been a fantastic signing for Rangers, so versatile.
“[He] does a job and shows up wherever you want him to play. I think he is one of their players of the season.
“He’s dribbling past players always looking to do something. Fantastic.”
The likes of James Tavernier, Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, et al are the ones who steal the headlines, while Aribo quietly goes on about his business and doesn’t get the credit for it.
However, he’s been an amazing player for us and deserves to be praised more. We’re glad that Crocker took the time to wax his lyrical because he’s worth it.
He’s become a regular in our first team this season and has contributed to 10 goals in 23 league starts.
Apart from left-back where he played today, most of his starts have come in the heart of midfield but he’s played a few games in the number 10 and right-wing positions.
His acceleration and footballing know-how are second to none in this Rangers side. Still only 24, we’re hoping that he continues to progress at the level he is so far.
