James Tavernier shares Twitter video celebrating number 55

Rangers captain James Tavernier has shared a Twitter video celebrating title number 55 along with a few of his teammates.

Ianis Hagi, Borna Barisic and Alfredo Morelos also feature in the video, which shows the squad sharing messages in a make-believe group chat.

The video covers several big moments in the season, including Alan McGregor’s wonder save at Slavia Prague and the title celebrations at Auchenhowie after the St Mirren win.

Finally, the video looks forward to the 2021/22 season, and most importantly welcoming back the Gers faithful to Ibrox as the club prepares to defend the title.

Season to remember

Although we could not be there this has been one of the best season’s in ages, and not just because we won the title.

Rangers dominated Celtic and the rest of our SPFL rivals, and did so in fine style with some huge wins and terrific goals.

There have been several stand-out performers and also good young prospects coming through, most notably Nathan Patterson.

We also proved once again that we can compete in Europe and it will be intriguing to see how we fare in the Champions League next season.

The primary objective must be to add number 56 but establishing ourselves against Europe’s top teams will be amazing, especially in front of a full Ibrox.

With Gerrard at the helm we are confident that we will progress even further, even if one or two important players have to leave.

The squad looks ready for another challenge however and we are keen to add more trophies to the cabinet after faltering in domestic cups this term.

In other Rangers news, a BBC pundit has shared a text he sent to Gers outcast and delivered a verdict on his future.
