Rangers play their second clash of the week with St. Johnstone on Sunday afternoon, but this time in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.

Steven Gerrard made numerous changes for the 1-1 draw on Wednesday evening, with some strong names left on the bench.

That dropped the hint that the Bears are prioritising the Scottish Cup over the invincible season, and could be a strong warning to Callum Davidson.

Rangers

Allan McGregor will come back in between the sticks, with his numerous saves one of the biggest reasons we are in this competition still.

The back four will also see a change, with Borna Barisic, Conor Goldson and James Tavernier the three keeping their spots at Ibrox.

Filip Helander will come back into the side, and it could have been Nathan Patterson; despite the skipper returning at right-back.

The youngster has been heavily involved recently, but after his appeal was rejected on Thursday, Tavernier should continue in the cup.

Rangers

Steven Davis and Glen Kamara are ever-present in this team, and they will both continue in midfield as we look to charge towards Hampden Park.

Scott Arfield was handed a start in the previous Old Firm, and we believe that Gerrard will stick by the faces that got him in this position.

Joe Aribo came on for 21 minutes in the 1-1 draw, and the playmaker will push into that front three that did the business against Celtic last week.

That leaves Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.

Both attackers will be raring to be unleashed at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon, having not come on during the draw on Wednesday evening.

Frank McAvennie has labelled the Colombian international as “irreplaceable” at Ibrox, and he will look to prove that once again this weekend.

Here’s how we expect the Bears to line up…
