Shocking Celtic fans graffiti Rangers 'Champions 55' billboard in build-up to Old Firm

Celtic fans have vandalised Rangers ‘Champions 55’ billboard that stands outside Ibrox in an act of petulance in the build-up to the Old Firm.

However, as Jim White points out, the so-called supporters who committed the act have already been made to look like fools by Rangers, who have cleared up the graffiti.

White applauded the swift work by the cleanup crew as the Champions 55 billboard now looks brand new.

He wrote on Twitter, “Seems whatever the graffiti artists in Glasgow could do yesterday…those behind the scenes at Rangers could do better today.”

Doing the double

The champions billboard is a nice reminder to both Celtic fans and players that we are now the dominant side in Scotland.

Beating the Bhoys in the Scottish Cup would only add further evidence to that indisputable claim, while a league and cup double would put our neighbours firmly in our shadow.

It is good to see rival fans being unable to accept the turnaround in fortune.

For several years we had to put up with their taunts but Steven Gerrard has transformed us into a team that every other side fears playing.

We have not won the double since 2009 and beating Celtic along the way would be a nice way of rounding off the season.

Our exit to Slavia Prague somewhat marred an overall successful campaign in the Europa League so it would be nice to finish the campaign with a bang, having wrapped up number 55 so early.
