Tam McManus shares instant verdict on Ondrej Kudela ban
Tam McManus has destroyed UEFA after Slavia Praha defender Ondrej Kudela was handed a 10-game ban for racially abusing Rangers ace Glen Kamara.
The Czech international will only serve nine of those, with his provisional ban against Arsenal standing.
McManus claimed that Kudela should have been banned for the complete year, calling the governing body a “complete joke.”
Writing on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday afternoon, McManus labelled Kudela a “scumbag” after he was found guilty.
“10-game ban for racially abusing another player,” he said.
“Wow. UEFA are a complete joke they bottle it yet again to punish someone heavily. It should have been a year minimum for the scumbag.”
Joke.
We can’t believe it.
UEFA have found Kudela guilty of this accusation, and giving him a 10-game ban doesn’t exactly make a massive example of him.
If they are really serious about stamping racism out of the game, they have to do more than several campaigns, as they clearly aren’t working.
Kamara will be gutted, he has been handed a three-game ban for something with little evidence, and yet there was tonnes of evidence against Kudela.
The defender will be able to parade in the Czech League with no punishment, and he will only miss the occasional European game.
There are calls for Slavia Praha to be kicked out of the competition, yet players who have defended Kudela will get to continue.
We will continuously stand behind Kamara, and he needs our full support at this moment in time; as for UEFA, this is ludicrous.
