Ondrej Kudela not seriously injured by Gareth Bale elbow

Ondrej Kudela was not seriously injured by Gareth Bale after the Czech defender was elbowed by the Wales star this week.

Last month, Kudela was accused of racially abusing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara as Slavia Prague won in the Europa League at Ibrox.

On Tuesday night, Wales beat the Czech Republic 1-0 in World Cup qualifying and in the latter stages, Kudela was forced off with an injury after he was caught by Bale’s elbow.

Petr Sedivy, a spokesperson for the Czech national team, has since confirmed an update on Kudela.

He told iROZHLAS: “After the first examination, the injury did not look serious, Slavia can provide more accurate information.”

Slavia are yet to officially comment on Kudela but are likely to before they play Brno on Sunday.

Another statement incoming?

Slavia would fit in well in the Scottish Premiership with the number of statements they release because it seems to have been one after another with the Czech champions since the alleged racist incident last month.

Last month, they called Kamara’s accusation “disgusting” and shared what Kudela claimed to have said to the Finland midfielder.

They’ve since released another statement, which is simply baffling.

In it, they demanded “the immediate halt of escalating biased pressure by Rangers’ club representatives” and highlighted Stewart Robertson for his recent comments.

Slavia chief Jaroslav Tvrdík also said Rangers are trying to “cover up” how aggressive their team played against the Czech side last month.

It’s absolutely crazy.

Do Slavia really think an allegation of racism was made up just to sweep Kemar Roofe’s challenge on Ondrej Kolar under the rug?

Do they really think that Glen Kamara made that up on the spot and telepathically told Bongani Zungu to do the same?

What a load of nonsense.

If we weren’t so angry, we’d be laughing our heads off.

In other Rangers news, Michael Stewart has broken his silence on the backlash he received for his thoughts on the alleged racist incident.
