Tam McManus claims Slavia Prague are floundering over racism incident

Tam McManus has blasted Slavia Prague after they released a statement criticising Rangers and demanding an end to the “biased pressure” placed on UEFA.

The Czech club accused Gers of purposely covering up cameras in the tunnel and reinforced their accusation of assault against Glen Kamara, stating Steven Gerrard witnessed the incident and said nothing.

McManus was flabbergasted by Wednesday’s statement and did not hold back in his condemnation of Slavia Prague.

Rangers

He told PLZ Soccer’s The Football Show on Wednesday: “They’re floundering, they’re trying everything they can to wriggle their way out of this.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt whatsoever in my mind, in anybody’s mind who watched that, that there was a racial taunt towards Glen Kamara for him to react like that.

“The bit at the end there in the tunnel that Rangers purposely turned the cameras off, this is not Hollywood, how can you go and turn cameras off?

“It’s absolute nonsense, they’re floundering because they know they’re going to get hit hard by UEFA – they’re trying to save their own skin.”

Shameful from Slavia

Every time Slavia Prague have commented on this affair they have sought to deflect attention and make audacious claims.

McManus is right to question their claim about covering up cameras as it is simply laughable.

They are more keen to cry about bias and accuse Rangers of bringing the game into disrepute rather than condemning what Ondrej Kadula has been accused of.

That speaks volumes, and hopefully when UEFA comes down on them they will realise how poorly they have acted.

Kamara is due an apology as his name and reputation has been put through the wringer – as has the club.

It is unacceptable and if UEFA does its job properly the truth will come to light eventually.

In other Rangers news, Kamara’s agent has made a claim that Gers fans will love.
