Alex McLeish insists Steven Davis could finish his career at Rangers after contract – Exclusive

We’re delighted to welcome former Rangers manager Alex McLeish as our exclusive columnist. Each week he’ll be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Ibrox…

Alex McLeish has insisted that Steven Davis is likely to finish his career at Rangers after signing another one-year deal at Ibrox.

The Northern Ireland international put pen-to-paper on the contract this month before jetting off for another record-breaking trip with his country.

McLeish believes that Davis will then likely jump into coaching or even managerial roles as he still has so much to give to the game after retirement.

Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, McLeish said, “You could easily see him finishing his career at Rangers.

“You could also see he could become a coach, manager and if fate intends that way, then that’s perhaps the route for him next.

“He’s got such a lot to give to football.”
